Aidan's apartment, Glassboro

((OOC: For the curious, this thread takes place shortly after this one.))

Aidan lowers himself gingerly to the couch, leaning his crutches against it and rubbing absently at a spot under his arm.

He isn't in the best of moods. Bedroom to couch and back again, with occasional trips to the kitchen and bathroom - the story of my life right now. And then there was that visit from Mom this morning.... He resists the urge to groan at the memory of her assessment of the condition of the apartment. She didn't take the 'Gee, next time I plan on getting injured on the job, I'll try to clean this place up first,' remark too well. He sighs, rubbing at his forehead. I should probably call her and apologize....

My dinner with Aaron

A no-longer-new but well-maintained blue Ford Escort pulls up in front of a house in Glassboro not far from St. Bridget's school.

Aidan gets out, dusting non-existent lint off his pants. He'd chosen to wear black jeans and a dark green sweater that his sister had given him for Christmas, saying with a wink that it matched the color of his eyes.

Okay...Aaron said he lived upstairs, with his brother and his roommate... Aidan makes his way up the neatly-shoveled walk and rings the bell for the upstairs apartment.

Took Kathleen out to Eleven East the other day. There was a really good band there.

Got to talk to the clerk at the counter a little. His name is Michael Malone, and he had such a sweet, lost air about him that my heart just went out to him.

Noticed he was looking at my Old Blind Dogs T-shirt, so I asked him if he liked 'em too. Turns out he hadn't heard of them, so I offered to bring him some of their CDs...maybe in the next week or so, during dinner break.

Michael really seems like he needs a friend -- I'm going to make sure he has at least one, if I have anything to say about it.
